I'm looking for a leather jacket. I've already checked tags, but I'm kind of picky about the fit: straight cut, simple, maybe bomber style without the cinched waist that'll make me look puffy.
I really liked the ones H&M made last spring, does anybody know where I can find them still? I can't find them anymore since they've stopped production of them and their new styles a:[
1. H&M motorcycle http://www.chictopia.com/photo/show/4117
2. H&M bomber http://www.chictopia.com/photo/show/15413
3. Simple leather jacket http://www.flickr.com/photos/discotheque/2977664704
Also, does anybody know where I can find this? I've seen another girl at school wear it but I don't know where she got it: 4. Leather jacket with Cheetah lined Hood

Thank you! [sorry I forgot to tag earlier]

| "rainbows reinterpreted" unfinished |
[29 Nov 2008|12:02am] |
Oil painting on canvas, using a palette knife only, of Thom Yorke, from Radiohead. My friend's obsessed with him.
I want to paint Gemme Ward next, she's so lovely. I fell in love with her seeing her first ad for St. John's around 2003 when I was in middle school, it's weird haha. She looks Asian to me, and has what I believed to be the ideal face growing up, and looks like the girls I doodle. I've told a few people she looked Asian, and they are a bit confused at first and come to agree with me.
I finished the painting last weekend, but forgot pictures, and turned it in to an art contest in my school. Photos of the unfinished, uncolored, unclean versoin:

[15 Nov 2008|10:37am] |
Hello, I've recently purchased a store credit card from this community.
The transaction went smoothly, but I could not use the card for my friend's b-day present because I realized afterward that the card could only be used in Canada. I am a U.S. resident :[
I have to sell the card, because I don't have any relatives in Canada, and I won't be traveling anytime soon. I need the money because I am currently unemployed and in college, like the girl I bought it from lol.
The card is $93, I am selling it for 80.
Please forward this entry to anyone you think might be interested. Thanks for your time!

I look so different now. And my skin decided to rebel and go crazy when I started college. It's like I'm going through puberty again, except I've never had trouble with it before. Now it's..well, I just want to stay in my "room" and never step out into sunlight.
Por queeee???
This is God punishing me for my atheism.
I just realized those are probably the only pictures of myself as a kid lol. There aren't a lot around.

Why is it even an issue?
I really think my neighbors with the "Vote Yes on Prop 8" signs on their lawns need to focus on something more positive.

On a side note, there's an incident I forgot to write about yesterday. Yesterday, my aunts picked me up to school. We pulled up next to a bus with a billboard of Ellen DeGeneres on its side.
Driving Aunt: "Do you see that woman?" Passenger Seat Aunt: "Yeah, what about her?" Driving Aunt: "My daughter says she's gay. She makes a lot of money." Me: "She just married. Her wife is really pretty and hilarious on Arrested Development." Driving Aunt: "Hahaha wife. That makes me want to vomit." *chuckles* Passenger Seat Aunt: "Mental illness." Me:...
I remember when they found out I was in Project 10, they had a fit. LOL-worthy moment: "Every time you go to your friend's house for a 'project,' I knew you were lying." [they were psycho even then. My family wouldn't let me go to classmates' houses for group assignments. They'd think I was lying and was messing around with guys or something. "Why can't you do it at home? I don't believe you. Your teacher wouldn't assign you this. My friend's daughter never did anything like this. Why can't you do it by yourself?"]
"Why are you in this club?" ..because I think they should be able to marry like everybody else. "Oh, so you think it's okay for them to marry?" ...yes. "You can't go to the club anymore." ..... cousin: It's just an excuse for you to marry a lesbian. ..... friend: Hah, like they can tell you what to do while you're at school.
random: ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT = BEST SHOW EVER. fuck, this is one long post.

[06 Sep 2008|10:33pm] |
My cousin called today when I came home from work/school today, asking me to take her dog over to my house. She's always wanting me to do something for her when she calls, so it was expected.
This time though, I ask her where everybody's at, why isn't she coming home to do it, why isn't her little brother doing it. She says she's at Knott's amusement park with her friend, and he's out too. "Oh, by the way, my mom asked you to do it."
OH, OKAY THEN. That's different.
She tells me the passward to turn off the house security system. And to turn it on again when I leave. I say no, you can do without the alarm. "Why?"
You're totally going to get robbed again, my mistake. Why am I bitching about her alarm system? Because last time she asked me to go to her house for her dog, she didn't say anything about the alarm system. It went off like a shrieking banshee, I freaked out because I was unprepared, called her work phone and she took forever to answer it, the police came. Fun times.
So when I came home with the dog, I get another phone call. It's her mom, asking if I brought the dog over. I say yes, I did, and hang up.
I go eat and and try to finish reading Tolstoy. Half an hour later, her mom calls me again.
"Did you turn the alarm on?" Yes. What now. "Asking you to do a little thing, have to hear you say so much. Don't do it at all. I'll talk more when I come back. Bye."
Um..You're welcome?
So I found my cousin's myspace page, and compiled this message:
"So you called your mom to complain that I said something about not turning on the alarm.
She called to ask if I turned it on. I said yes. Yes, I did turn on the alarm. And yes, I did indeed already take your dog to my house.
Then she says that if by asking me to do a little favor means I'll have "too much to say about it," then I shouldn't do it. And that she'll continue this later.
LOL WHUT A. Yah, you're welcome. B. I sit around waiting for all of you guys to go out so I can handle your business. I just DIE wanting to do favors for you. I live for it. C. I'm sorry, I guess I shouldn't say anything. I actually do sit around and wait for your phone calls, because I have no life. No, my life revolves around your life.
I took your dog to my house and turned on the alarm. I should just naturally want to do it without asking where the rest of the family capable of doing it is, and should just play with the alarm system because someone forgot to tell me the password the last time I encountered it, the house freaked out and sounded like it was going to die and kill someone like Ray Bradbury's nursery room in "The Veldt," and the police happened to pop by.
I get to be lectured for doing you a favor? Really? I guess I should be the one thanking you, because you're the one who did me a favor. I do need it to keep me in line, because imagine one day, I'd actually say NO if you ask me to do something for you! Just imagine!
No, I'm not going to egg your house. Egging a person's house for something they said is a bit...juvenile, don't you think?* Get the fuck over yourself.
p.s. Forward to your mom's myspace. I'd really appreciate it. Thanks, I owe you one."
*someone at a place she worked part time threw around rumors the she stole some of the jewelry. She said she was going to go egg the person's house with her friend's boyfriend. I don't get it. What the hell does her friend's boyfriend have to do with it? And why the hell would you egg someone's house for SAYING that you stole stuff at a place you worked only once in a while?
"It's because we're so close. You don't get it because you don't have any friends you're that close to with. And if this happened you and your friends would just sit there and talk about 'how sad' it is, and not do anything."
First of all, excuuuuuse me? And we wouldn't even be talking about it if that happened to us, let alone egg a house over something so petty. Nobody even eggs houses anymore. I mean, I'd break in a person's face for my friend when it came to it, but seriously...over that?
I haven't sent it yet. It's childish, I know, but I need to burn my anger at stupid, unappreciative, demanding relatives somewhere. I should set their dog on fire.
I guess she has the point though. I'm just blogging about it, not really doing anything about the situation. It's not worth the confrontation...really, it's not.

| Foods that help anxiety |
[31 Aug 2008|03:50pm] |
I found out that there are certain foods that help with anxiety after googling 5-htp. I'm so glad I found it! It contains all my ideal foods [organic PB, turkey, fish, dark greens, noodles] but now it's more important that I eat it daily. It would aslo help make wiser choices over the smaller things, such as lower-glycemic fruits, or thicker pasta. Who knew..

I hope this is helpful. I'm pretty sure many of you already eat like this anyways :]

| summer list. will most likely update/add to it. |
[10 Jun 2008|11:55pm] |
i love making lists. i have lists for every single possible thing. it's a bit obsessive, because i'm very particular about things. quite sad, actually.
so far: -driver's license! eh. -have adventures. -get a bus pass. explore places. echo park, silverlake, little tokyo, chinatown. -bike around more. stop being a fat-ass. -venues, art galleries. since i was too lazy to apply for internships. -learn how to cook good food. -learn how to knit? -make clothes and dolls. -detox. start eating healthier, bring lunch to school so i won't eat whatever crap is available. -organize art supplies. -MAKE ART. lately i've been tired and uninspired. -take advantage of polaroid camera. remember polaroids will discontinue. -reading: attack list of books. go to the library to find those books. -movies: find people with those movies, so i can borrow. -get rid of material things laying around. clothes, books, things i don't "need" and use anymore. -get a job. art gallery and american apparel [discounts for anh! and $$ for me] -get a digital camera? -try to actually keep a journal, and not give up on it. draw in it everyday, write quotes, remember things that happened. -make an effort in the morning. not just the usual jeans, tee shirt, cardigan. -do something about the social anxiety taking over my life and destroying what's left of my self-confidence.
when i feel like it, maybe i'll post my list of books to read, and movies to watch.

| ew, english topics. |
[30 Apr 2008|09:33pm] |
For this essay, you must use a minimum of two stories from the book. You can use more, but be careful of using too many. Think carefully about the proportion of your overall paper. Specific examples are usually preferable to generalities.
Write on one of the following: [Bonar numbered them wrong, skipped 3]
1) As a short-story cycle, what is the overriding theme of the book?
2) How does Bradbury use science fiction to confront social issues?
4) What's more important to Bradbury- science or the imagination, and why?
5) According to Bradbury, what do human beings need to be happy, and what's the biggest flaw which causes unhappiness?
6) How do the first and last stories of the book ["The Veldt" and "The Rocket"]
mirror each other? Explain the significance of their similarities and differences.
Psychological, political, theological, and/or literary analysis are all fair game here. At the very least, though, you must quote extensively from the book, showing you can use the assigned texts to propel and defend an argument. You can also refer to the movie, but as a secondary source to the book. Predominantly, you should use the book.
5-7 pages
MLA format
Remember to consult page 199 for correctly formatted MLA style essay.
=============
Now I'm considering topic 2 instead of 4. I'm thinking of topic 1 and 5 as well. Too many options! and I don't know which one to write about/most about/best on.
